Welcome to Wilbury Primary School Website

Situated in the London Borough of Enfield, we are a busy four form entry community co-educational primary school with its own purpose built Nursery. We hope you manage to find what you are looking for and enjoy learning a little about some of the things that happen in our school. Please use the menu on the left to navigate around the site.

WILBURY SUMMER CLUB

Our school has been provided with some government funding which enables us to offer a very exciting opportunity for your child to attend our first ‘Summer Club’ this school holiday.

Week 1 – Monday 26^th July to Friday 30^thJuly

Week 2 – Monday 2^nd August to Friday 6^th August

Week 3 – Monday 9^th August to Friday 13^th August

The club is run by staff at Wilbury School and we have an exciting array of professional providers such as The Elms (provider of sports in schools), and Scarabeus (aerial theatre) coming in to run programmes/workshops where each child will develop through the course of the week in particular skills. The programmes include – football, cricket, tag rugby, tennis, athletics, circus skills, cooking, and street dance…as well as many more fun activities.

Children will gain certificates on completion of the workshops and in some work towards putting together a performance to show the skills they have learnt during the week.

The cost is just £5.00 per day (£3.00 for those on free school meals). Many other services of this kind charge £20.00 per day but we have reduced our costs to ensure our children can take advantage of this opportunity.

SEA CHANGE PROJECT

Children in years 4 and 5 had an opportunity to work children from St John and St James Primary and Turin Grove School, on an exciting project led by Chickenshed Theatre Company, called Sea Change.

The project ran for 5 evenings after school, with all the children working creatively together on issues that really matter to them. The project culminated in a performance to parents, bringing together the efforts of all the children, and displaying the enthusiasm, confidence and total focus that had been evident through all the five weeks together.

Wilbury Primary School is Continuing to develop links with schools from various countries. Mrs. Heaviside visited China to develop our schools' links internationally.

On Saturday 20^th March, a group of these students joined other students and

adults from Gladys Aylward School and all over Edmonton, to take part in the Edmonton Street Carnival.
