			ENFIELD CHRISTMAS PARADE
			On Sunday 27th November, a group of children, parents and teachers took part in the Enfield Christmas Parade. The children had worked hard in the week before, making lanterns out of willow and tissue paper. These were lit and looked fantastic. Both children and parents dressed up in angel and Christmas costumes and lots of fun was had by all. Wilbury Primary School celebrate National School Meals Week Staff at Wilbury Primary School got involved with National School Meals Week by inviting parent Pierrette Njoum into the school to receive a £250 prize from ParentPay’s Business Development Manager Merica Wilsher. Pierrette was one of four lucky winners from a draw that included 11,000 respondents to the LACA/ParentPay School Meals national survey, the survey sought views from parents on school meals and the daily life issues facing their children. Pierrette said: “I’m so happy with my win it was such a surprise. I completed the survey as I wanted to share my children’s and my views and I’m really happy with what my children eat at school.” The results of the national parent survey echoed Pierrette’s views as the vast majority of parents wanted to see more information about what their children were eating and over 80% said they were satisfied with school meals. Sue Short, School Business Manager said: “When we introduced the ParentPay system we weren’t really sure how accepting our parents would be; however, they have had no problems so we won’t be turning back.” Sue added: “Healthy eating builds young minds and is an important ingredient in our learning at Wilbury.”

Mobile Phone Safety

Enfield is seeing an increase in Mobile Phone robberies particularly of Blackberry phones, I am certain this is due to the BBM system contained within. Since the start of this academic year (01/09/2010) 47% of all personal robberies in Enfield have been against children aged between 11 and 16.
